A Day in the Life...

On the same topic as my last post, too often I feel as if there are not enough hours in the day. Just for a tad bit of encouragement, I decided to share my daily routine with you guys. We all have the same 24 hours, what we do with those hour are up to us!  5:15am: Wake up  5:30am: study/ work to make my dreams come true 6:30am: Get dressed for work /make my protein shake  7:30-8:30am: Commuting 11:00am: Breakfast  12:30pm: Workout  1:30pm: Lunch 4:30pm-5:30pm: Commuting  5:30pm-8:45pm: Class (Beginning this week, twice a week for 10 weeks) 6:30pm: Dinner  10:30pm: Bedtime    On the days when I don’t have class or when class is out of session I generally run the...

My Favorite 6 Vegan Holiday Recipes

I'm all for not reinventing the wheel! So, I'm sharing a few of my favorite recipes and meal to eat during the holidays.  Vegan Sweet Potato Pie  (I buy an accidental vegan pie crust, and use the filling from this recipe)  Vegan Cornbread  Dressing: Use the vegan cornbread to make your favorite dressing, sub veggie stock for chicken stock and mushrooms for gizzards. I even use the Pepperidge Farms cornbread mix, it saves tons of time.  Black eye peas (cook them in veggie stock instead of using the hammock)  Mustard and turnip greens or collard greens (cook them in veggie stock and add liquid smoke it you want a little smoked flavor, I prefer them without liquid smoke)  Jerk Portobello Mushroom...

5 tips to remain vegan during the holidays

The holidays are approaching and besides being surrounded by family either the 2nd most annoying thing or the 2nd best thing is the food! We associate holidays with food, and not just food, really good food! I'll be sharing a few of my favorite vegan recipes later.  I'm approaching my 2nd holiday season as a vegan, and the only vegan in my immediate family I may add.
